We believe that God is raising up a radically committed generation of men and women who can winsomely and powerfully share the love and grace of God to an increasingly wounded world.  thePursuit is a school of ministry designed to empower leaders to go out and change the world. Through theological equipping and practical hands on ministry opportunities, we have a vision of developing passionate warriors and worshippers of the kingdom of God.  

Our inaugural class will be launched in the fall of 2008. Pastor Steve Holt, the founder of thePursuit School of Ministry, explains, “Our purpose is to build Word loving, Spirit empowered servant leaders! This is not your typical Bible College. We are going to challenge students like they have never been challenged before, to make the Word of God and the ministry of the Holy Spirit a living power and reality in their lives. This is accomplished through hands on experience, theological equipping, and mission trips that strengthen one’s faith.”

Each week students will be challenged with a dynamic mix of real life experience, inspirational teaching, and mentoring by our leadership team. From a wilderness trek to local outreaches, from studying books of the Bible to learning how to hear God’s voice, to international missions and interning in a local church, everything is designed to build worshippers and warriors who love Jesus and the world.

Pastor Steve explains, “I’ve been on the mission field, planted a church (www.mountainsprings.org) and graduated from seminary, and I can tell you, you will get more practical training in two semesters with The Pursuit than most people get in their college and seminary combined. And it will save you lots of money and lay a theological and experiential foundation that will affect the rest of your life.”
